Macworld prediction..."Theres Something in the Air" is not just a new wireless gadget but also an unveiling of Apple's new environmental campaign. Remember, Al Gore is on the Board!

Did anyone notice that the banner "There's something in the air" doesnt have the trademark Lucida Grange font. Also on the Apple website - the font is very thin.
Maybe its just me but whats up with the new font?

Apple haven't been using Lucida Grande in their publicity (Lucida’s used extensively in the Mac OS X interface)—they use Myriad Pro (or, perhaps a slightly modified version of Myriad). What we’re seeing here is Myriad Pro Light. It hasn’t been used extensively by Apple before, but you can see it, for example, in the words ‘Tower of 8-core power.’ in the promo for the new Mac Pros.
And, you’re not the first person to have noticed this. John Gruber made reference to the new typefaces when linking to the original leaking of the banners at the Moscone Centre: http://daringfireball.net/linked/2008/january#fri-11-exciting.

I also find the "fading" Apple logo interesting. Have they ever used that before? Where the Apple itself fades into...sorry... thin air.

Close but not quite. I predict that 2008 is the year of the iDirigible!

You should have gone in and wandered around. I work across 3rd street from Moscone and just wandered over with a co-worker. We've only got "exhibit hall" passes, but could easily have walked in without any pass at all. Besides lynda.com's impressive collection of shiny, new iMacs, there wasn't much to see on the exhibit floor but a bunch of unopened crates. A few were ready to go, but for the most part it's gonna be a long night of setup for the exhibitors.

Its got to be Wimax related, over the air iTunes (wiTunes?), movie rentals, straight to iPhone Laptop Desktop SetTop PocketSized internet everywhere.
Which I'm not even too thrilled about, sounds super expensive in my imagination ear.

And for my third trick -
Now that I consider it, it doesn't have to be expensive. Amazon is selling its eBooks over a free internet connection for the Kindle. Why not on iPhone too?
But a new way to spend money doesn't really excite me all that much. If they were giving free WiMax to iPhone subscribers that'd be something special.
Even more special if it drove down the price of the Edge/WiFi only iPhones left out there.
