20 minutes with Woz
Dutch site One More Thing brings us a serving of Steve "Woz" Wozniak from Macworld. You may or may not be nonplussed by the exclusive interview with Apple's co-founder, but they use the word "computergeschiedenis" in the post, which you have to admit is a pretty fun way to say "computer history". At least that's how KavaServices translated it for me. And Woz, no matter how you look at it, has a place in computer history.
Not surprisingly, Woz has a lot of love to share in regards to the Macworld proceedings, the Apple TV Take 2, and other Apple affairs. He is willing to state that the first Apple TV was a "very rare case where a product really wasn't quite done right," but mostly, I'm sure, because it's already been generally acknowledged. The interview is in English, which is good for me as my ability to follow along in Dutch would be somewhere between rusty and non-existent. It's also 20 minutes long, so if you've been wishing for a little time with Mr. Wozniak, for whatever reason, get your fill.

Woz is the best.
Grandpa Apple as I like to think of him.
He made great points about the media missing the mark on Macworld.

Typical American attitude that English sets the standard for what sounds "normal" and any foreign language deviating from that is unusual.

@luka, By name and distant heritage, I'm Dutch... but I'm an English, Irish, American Indian, Dutch and German mix that can't speak much of anything but a midwestern U.S. dialect of English. And a tiny bit of Spanish.
@Karl, you did note that it says "fun" and not "funny", right? I would assume that people are often intrigued by new and unfamiliar sounds (and sights), be they American or any other origin...

Terpstra is a Frisian name. Frysk is the second (official) language in the Netherlands; the Frysians are a proud and stubborn lot, BTW.

Awesome that you know that. I find very few people in the states who know where or what Friesland is, so Dutch has been my default, close-enough reply. I suppose that means my stubbornness and perhaps my pride comes into question, but you just rekindled my Frisian spirit :)...

How do you guys feel about Woz saying "we" and "us"? I don't know how to feel, since he's not still employed with Apple, correct? Unless I'm wrong...?

He's not an official employee but he is a shareholder and still receives a paycheck from Apple. It's one of those agreements they established long before Apple became a real company and as friends, I guess they still honor it.

Yup, I'm Dutch, there you go, a decent translation :)

For those curious about what the post says:
Steve Wozniak is one of the founders of Apple. He is the technical brain behind the Apple I and the Apple II and he personally provoked a revolution in computer history. One More Thing spoke with him in San Fransisco.
Still have to watch the interview, though :)
