A more elegant manila envelope
We posted a while ago about AirMail, a vinyl carrier for the MacBook Air which took the manila envelope idea quite literally. It's conceivable that the sheer sexiness of the MacBook Air may eventually make the manila envelope itself a fashion icon, but in the meantime Studio Leung has come out with a bag that abstracts the envelope concept into a less humorous (and possibly more elegant) design.
The Mac bag is water resistant and made from waxed cotton with a felt lining. Its source of inspiration is especially evident in the closure which is an envelope-style wraparound fastener using plastic buttons and a rubber cord.

Wow that site has some ridiculous stuff. Most of which is rather pointless.

I want one to fit my black MacBook.
I also want one of those Nokia concept ceramic phones. I'd never use it, but it looks like it's been stolen from the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

They're backed up on shipping because of high demand. I got an e-mail from the last week saying it might be a week or so late. No biggie. My Air probably isn't supposed to ship until Feb 7 so they might arrive at the same time.

that's a nice bag. i bet the novelty of one of those more realistic 'manila envelope' cases would wear off in about two minutes, making you wish you'd bought a real paper envelope for the laughs and a classy bag for actual use.

Next, someone is going to come out with an "AirBag"...
Just wondering how tough the MacBook Air is... being so thin, can an unfortunately placed bump from a fellow subway commuter crack it in half?

Yeh I'm worried about the screen shattering. It looks so flimsy, even in the Apple advert you can see the screen bend. We'll find out how easy it is to break it when they ship tomorrow.

Yeah, but what if you need to carry more than your Mac?

That does look very elegant. I'd definitely carry THAT around. Getting a Macbook air, however may prove to be more problematic. :(
