OS X 10.5.2 hasn't been out for long, and there is already an update available for it. The Leopard Graphics Update 'improves the stability and compatibility of your Mac.' Oh, Apple, your release notes for 10.5.2 were so detailed, I was hoping you had turned a new leaf, but this update has proven me wrong.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Apparently software update can't find it when the 10.5.2 update beachballs your mac mini indefinitely. Fortunately it only took 2 reboots to get 10.5.2 to install on the MacBook.

If you just let it do it's thing it reboots twice on its own during the install. For all users who have yet to update - don't touch your computer during the process! Just let it do it's thing! :-)

Yeah, that doesn't help those of us who had it reboot twice and then refuse to boot again safe mode or otherwise.

Fantastic, my computer won't turn back on. Verbose mode restarts the computer too fast to read anything.

This was updated in the 10.5.2 update already, and is not specific to this update

I've just finished installing 10.5.2, I'm currently downloading the Graphics Update and the translucent menu checkbox is showing up for me.

They released this update at the same time as 10.5.2. You have to install 10.5.2 first for it to show up though as this update requires 10.5.2

Yeah Scott, you're far too quick to hate on Apple. This update doesn't show up until after you install 10.5.2. As soon as my computer rebooted from installing the update my Software Update was open and bouncing to alert me of the additional update available.

Alex, my problem isn't with the update, but rather the lack of release notes.

I only wish this update would have some sort of patch for MacPros from last year to allow them to work with the new 8800 Nvidia cards.

What is this update exactly? A lot of files are changed in the /System/Library/Extensions directory (ie display drivers), and in the /usr/share/man/man3/ directory (ie manual (man) pages).

My guess is just a whole package of firmware updates from the manufacturers of Apple supported video chipsets.

This update package was originally included with 10.5.2 developers builds, but later provided as a separate update on the ADC site. It is not a 'post 10.5.2' update.

I don't know if it was this or 10.5.2, but I think it turned on the ambient light sensor on my MBP. Freaked me out at first -- I thought my display was dying.

Not only can I confirm that this happened to me, I can also confirm that I was also freaked out.

On my intel imac, the graphic update smoothed the windows animations out. Been kind of choppy since installing Leopard last week, and was still choppy with 10.5.2-- but this update has fixed that! Update went very smoothly

I did the initial 10.5.2 update, then forgot about the graphics update. Something on one of the websites I frequently visit (I typically have four Safari windows with several tabs open) cause Safari to go 99%CPU with the fan a-blazing. Then I did the subsequent update and things seem to have calmed down (same sites I usually visit.)
Overall, pretty much like all my other updates.
