Macs at Microsoft fail to shock

Actually, let's not do this. Let's realize that Microsoft is a company and Apple is a company, and while yes, in some fields they are competitors, let's just put the whole Apple vs. PC idea to bed. Guess what: a Mac actually is a PC. It's a very, very well-made PC (in fact, the best made, in this blog's humble opinion). And why wouldn't the folks at Microsoft want to use the best PC out there to develop and run their programs?
The battle between Mac and PC was cute back during the PowerPC age, when there were major differences between the two platforms. But things have changed: Macs run Windows, dogs and cats are lol-ing together, and the war's just not worth fighting any more. Of course Microsoft employees use Macs -- who wouldn't?

I propose a death penalty to those who continue with it.

I can't stand the people who insist on putting down the other platform when they have no knowledge of it. I know way too many PC people who complain about macs when they know nothing about them and how all their "proof" isn't proof at all.

It works the other way too...alot of Mac users throw arguments that were valid when they switched to Macs (win 98) that aren't anymore...and throw alot of FUD about vista around... some true, most of it not.
As for the article itself...it makes sense that the developers/higher ups would be using something different than their flagship product. Their needs aren't necessarily going to be in-line with the needs of the majority of the customer base.

I used to put down Apple and Apple users all the time... 15 years ago in grade school. I've grown up and appreciate the differences between the two computing philosophies, even buying a Mac for my home computer.

You don't find it pretty funny that these people put money directly into their competitor's coffers? What about all the people using iPods, when MS makes a 'perfectly good' alternative player - isn't it amusing that even their employees see it as a poor second place?
Well, it makes me chuckle, anyway.
Actually, it makes me wonder why the general standard of MS's products isn't better, when apparently at least some of the people they employ can recognise good workmanship without it painting itself purple and dancing in front of them waving a "This is good workmanship, suckas!" banner?
And yes, this post is a little tongue in cheek. But not everyone who bashes MS products does it due to lack of familiarity. Over-familiarity is a pretty big motivating factor, too!

How can this pointless posturing possibly be considered newsworthy? Who the hell edits this blog? Does anyone?

Apple uses windows mobile software for the wireless checkouts at the Apple store, thats way more ironic. Windows is a software company.

What's even MORE ironic is that my friend who works at an Apple Store says that the biggest problems they have, and most frequent problems as well, is with the mobile checkout system. Blue Screen of Death while buying an iMac! ha! I would pay to see that!

An Obvious photoshop pic. I am surprised that anyone takes it seriously as it is a poor job at that. Certainly you guys can post on Real topics, right?

Who Wouldn't use a Mac??? Anyone who wanted their laptop to wake from sleep or have a display that shows something other than black! Macs used to JUST WORK back in the old history days of PowerPC, but now they don't. Doesn't anyone care?

Um, did anyone say they didn't like the Mac?
After all, they do DEVELOP SOFTWARE for OS X...
And don't go pulling the "Mac BU is a separate world from the rest of Redmond" crap, there are probably plenty of Mac-heads (and hey, even neck-bearded UNIX fans) on the MS campus.

It's not news when the world's largest software company doesn't eat its own dogfood? Do you really think every one of those Mac users at MS is running Boot Camp?
Come on. If the war's not worth fighting any more, even for someone WHO WRITES AT A MAC BLOG, then maybe you ought to go buy a Dell.
