...and the Apple Store's refurbished section (http://www.Apple-Discounts.com) now lists the 1GB iPod Shuffle for a meager $39!! At that price, I'm gonna get one for each bathroom in my house!

And remember, today's new laptops means the old laptops are cheap(er) too! MBPs that were $1999 yesterday are $1449 today; MBs that were $1099 and $1299 are now $849 and $949. I've got a (now) 2-generation-old MBP (2.33 GHz) and it still rocks the house. If I were in the market for a laptop, I'd jump all over one.
The MBP is actually from work, I've got an MB of my own. I use the MBP more--I don't mind the weight (I've use a backpack), the bigger screen is nice, and the light-up keyboard is great for doing things while watching TV in a darkened room. If were buying for myself, I'd still get the MB in general--that extra $900 is a big pill to swallow--but for only $350 more, I'd be all over one of these "old" ones.

Yeah. Refurbished. The other commentor was looking at the "Clearance" section. I just bought a blue 1GB one last week when the 2GB models and the price drop was announced. The 1st-2nd-gen shuffle blue, not this pastel easter eggy color. $49 for a brand new shuffle in the old color. Not bad.
