Chris Forsythe retires from Adium project
According to a recent post over at the Adium blog, Chris Forsythe, the lead project manager, has decided to say goodbye after 3 years in that position with the Adium project. According to the post, Chris managed the Adium website, support network, and forum.Eric Richie, another member of the Adium team, volunteered for the new position. In the past, Eric wrote the in-application help for Adium and maintains the Adium TicketTaskForce.
Chris is involved with some of the best applications on the Mac, a sampling of them: Growl, Perian, and Saltatory. We at TUAW wish Chris the best of luck in the future!
Thanks Chris!

He may have been a little testy, but still guys, look at Adium now. And I guarantee you if you've asked for help from the Adium team you got an answer within the course of about a day...which is impressive seeing how large the project really is. That is most likely the direct result of a well built website or a busy bee behind the servers.

I want to thank you for enhancing my mac experience and wish you good luck in your future ventures! I hope the quality of said products are maintained in your absence!

March 04 2008 at 1:23 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI wasn't talking about how he acted in forums and at IRC.
It's my personal opinion about the guy, whom i had the bad luck of knowing personally and professionally. He was a dick head of a project manager since day one.
Yet again, Adium and the other apps are appreciated.
Either way, i bet that Eric Richie will do a way better job.
You knew me professionally? Where did we work together?

March 03 2008 at 9:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHe was a curt guy and largely misunderstood, and he was definitely flamed by a lot of users who came on the forums to complain (ahem). But he worked very, very hard at his position. As a long time lurker on the forums, I offer my thanks...
