The new documentary Welcome to Macintosh has just been been accepted to the Wisconsin Film Festival, and is scheduled to make its debut on April 6. The film features interviews with a variety of Mac-notables like Andy Hertzfeld, Guy Kawasaki and others, and traces the history of the development of the Mac since before its introduction. I have to admit I'm a sucker for this sort of thing, so I'll definitely be interested to see the film when it's released.
I'm kind of underwhelmed. Seems like it will be a low-budget, low quality rehash of what we already know from other excellent documentaries and books on Apple and the Macintosh. Just my opinion though, I'd need to watch the final product.
I went through a phase where I collected many of the old computers from my youth, including Apple IIs, Macs, Atari, Commodore, Intellivision, Colecovision, etc.
I don't think there's anything very weird about that. Going back and revisiting the games and software you spent many hours with as a child can be a powerful experience, not unlike looking at a photo album or watching an old home movie.
I'm not sure I need to see a documentary about it.

I don't know about you, but I don't need to be reminded how much of a dork I was- especially in pictures.
