Even iPods get the blues.To find out what version of Mac OS you are running, go to the Apple logo in the top left corner, click it and choose About This Mac. From that window you will see the version number, processor, memory and chosen startup disk. Clicking Software Update will check for updates, and More Info... will open up an extensive list of everything on your machine.

this program doesnt work 4 me first gen shuffle it says "firmware update faliure. disk write error."
any help..??
plz this thingz been dead 4 2-3 years and i bought a touch but me bro uses it like crazy. i payed 4 it, he payed 4 this crap a couple years bac! and im here tryin to fix it so i cans have me own touch! plz help

I tried this utility to un-(brick?)/stub? my ipod shuffle 1st gen. but on the first attempt, it said the recovery failed. and on the second try, the Resetting ipod(Recovery mode) - do not disconnect message just stays there indefinitely. I don't think anything's happening.
