Aperture 2.1 adds Plugin architecture
Today Apple has released an update to their photo workflow app, Aperture. Aperture 2.1, a free update for all Aperture 2.0 users, adds a new, and open, plugin architecture to Aperture. This means it will now be much easier for developers to extend Aperture's builtin capabilities by writing little bits of codes that plug into the Aperture frameworks (hence the name).Apple is already working with some developers, and is including a dodge and burn plugin of their own with Aperture 2.1. Aperture 2.1 is available now, and if you don't already have Aperture it will cost you $199 (or $99 to upgrade from Aperture 1.0).

Hey LCS I have the same problem, let me know if you figure it out.
March 28 2008 at 2:51 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell, I connceted all my photos. To do this go to 'All Photos', select all your photos, then go to 'manage referenced files...', connect a random picture and click the 'Reconnect all' button. It may take a while depending on the amount of pictures you have.

March 28 2008 at 1:16 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHmm, I did the update. Turnes out all my images are now offline. If I go to 'Manage referenced files...' it says the status of my Macintosh HD is offline. Not sure if this has to do with the update, it could be that i did something else that causes this.
Anyone have another solution without having to manually reconnect all images?
Lcs perhaps if you delete the aperture plist in your preferences folder that may help, but I suspect not. When I had a window problem that's all I had to do.
you can also select all of your images and then navigate to your images in the file system and reconnect all of them.
Or try restarting your computer.
This is a very exciting update and I am leaning further and further away from purchasing CS3. With the noise ninja plug in and maybe some cool effects plugins I won't need CS3.
