According to World of Apple, Mac OS 10.5.3 (build 9D25) has been seeded. No new issues have been identified this time around, and twenty-two fixes have been implemented, including:- Various printing issues
- An issue with Safari bookmarks and .Mac Mail account has been resolved (I'll believe that when I see it)
- Issues with mounted Boot Camp volumes
- A crash within the Network Preference Pane
No word on when 10.5.3 will be released officially.
Is anyone else hungry for pumpkin seeds now?

Something I think that should be added to Stacks, specifically the 'Fan' view setting, is that I should be able to click and drag items in the Stack to a folder in the same stack. I also want to be able to go into successive folders in the sack without the Stack closing. I have my 'Movies' folder in the dock, and to get to an episode of say, 'The Office', I have to click on the Stack, then click on the 'Office' folder, which opens in a window. I want to have the 'Office' folder to open in the Fan view as well.
Wouldn't that be efficient?

Sorry, I meant to refer to the 'Grid' view setting.

I totally agree. This is an obvious feature that would make stacks so much more useful.

Any word if this restores sleep functionality to some systems?
My trusted G5 will not auto / self sleep. The screen will dim as part of the settings, but the machine stays on, fans running, ... wasting power. I noticed it after 10.5.2 but may have happened with 10.5.1.
Manual sleep works, but I'd much rather have it automatic.

let's hope the annoying non-auto-quitting printer icon in the dock gets fixed. It's maddening!

It's always been fixed. You just have to right-click it and select 'auto-quit'.

That doesn't work in Leopard. Even if you select the Auto-Quit option, the printer lingers on the dock until you manually quit it. Perhaps not EVERY single printer, if yours works correctly, but I know this is a fairly widespread issue.
My dad, who just got his first Mac last Christmas (a MacBook) asked me about this, and then read about it in the free Mac___ (life/world/?) magazine. I've had the problem ever since switching from Tiger. Still not fixed in 10.5.2

Who thinks the annoying popup warning you if you want to open this file should have the option to be removed?
I mean, Apple made fun of the "cancel or allow" dialogs, but its just like it.
Sure, only once does it do that, but I would like to get rid of it.

I already did, but I just wish there was a way from Apple to do this. :/

Oh, but Apple thinks we're all idiots, metroid. Be glad Apple doesn't shove more "help" without an off switch down our throats.

Also doesn't appear to include any fixes for the video card artifacts and lines popping up all over the place either.

That will probably end up being a fix for only the models affected in the form of a graphics firmware update or new drivers. Isn't this limited to a certain release of MacBooks and/or MBPs?

I've got it bad on my 2006 Core Duo iMac with the X1600 vid card. Was perfectly fine until upgrade to leopard.

Here here. I really can't believe they forgot to implement that.

That, yes. My problem with Frong Row in Leopard is that when playing something in iTunes in Tiger, and you invoked FR (with the keyboard or remote) it would seemlessly transition to the FR interface and keep playing. Not so in Leopard...it stops iTunes, and starts at the main menu for Front Row. No "Now Playing."

Or maybe fixing Front Row in general? Still no iTunes rented movie support, and the Leopard "upgrade" removed the "Start from last position" pseudo-bookmark for movie files not in iTunes (i.e. Divx). At least OSXBMC keeps getting better!

Great points, Mickey, I hate all that too, but forgot to mention it. Seems like they really dropped the ball with this implementation of Front Row. Also, I realize I misspelled it "Frong Row" above. Oops.
