Remote Buddy 1.10 offers iTunes streaming to iPhone / iPod touch
While there have been several ways to accomplish remote playback on the iPhone, Remote Buddy works particularly well with playlists and albums. In addition, the new version improves support for controlling playback to multiple Airport Expresses.
Remote Buddy is €19.99 (~$31) and a demo is available.

I've long been a fan of Remote Buddy, which originally started as an Apple remote utility. Over time, however, it's developed considerably...

I downloaded it and am now using my ipod touch as a remote to control my itunes on a mac mini in my living room streaming music from my office computer. Just what I've always wanted!!!
On the negative side the "trackpad/keyboard" functionality is weak. Hope the release an app version of this with realtime trackpad. Can't get the keyboard to work at all.
Still the remote control itunes while browsing your library on a touch part is worth the price alone.
I can't see the option. Under ajax remote I just get the same options as before :/

April 30 2008 at 2:25 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe new streaming functionality is sick. I just downloaded the new version, so for the uninitiated, it allows you to hear music from an iTunes library on your phones' speaker or headphones.
Maybe I'm always wanting more, but how long will it take to be able to add the reverse of that, ie., streaming iPhone music to available Airport Expresses?
Although the new streaming function might be (almost) useless, it was an "ohmygod" moment when I first experienced it.
This is pretty great. For now it seems to be the only way to use YouTube on my jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone. A few glitches and crashes, but works pretty reliably. Bravo!
