WWDC 2008 sold out, scalpers on alert
With apologies to Carole King: "Now it's too late, bayyybeee, now it's too late, though we really did try to make it..."If you were waiting until the last minute to get your reservations in for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, aka WWDC 2008, you're out of luck. All available spaces at Apple's annual developer love-fest have been taken, so you'll have to wait until next year's event to get your fix of sessions and labs.
That also means you're going to miss out on the Steve Jobs keynote address, which you'll hear about within minutes of it happening anyway. Don't procrastinate for WWDC 2009!
Thanks to Chris C. for the tip!

Question: Does anyone know if WWDC has ever sold out before this?

No they haven't, this is the first time in Apple's history. Wish I was gonna be there... I'm really starting to get my Cocoa on... just ordered the new edition of Aaron Hillglasses (sp?) book today too!

Has he come out with a Cocoa Touch book yet? Do you know if he plans to?

Recent WWDCs have been crowded enough without this year's contingent of iPhone developers. At the last couple at least, many sessions have been SRO with "traffic cops" strictly controlling access.
Apple has outgrown Moscone West (as they outgrew the SJCC for WWDC03). It's about time the moved this circus to a bigger tent - Moscone North & South, maybe.

It's Carole King, not Carol.
