What's funny is the ads video player hangs and crashes Safari 3.1.1. I guess this part of the site is aimed at Windows and IE users only though.

I don't have any problems with Safari 3.1.1 (running on 10.5.2)

For me, on the Sad Song Long (medium) page Safari is using 120.0 CPU even when the video is paused. I'm on a first gen MBP 2.16Ghz and after a few seconds on that page I need to kill Safari to be able to do anything. Apple need a video plugin that uses less CPU.

I get too many glitches to watch the video after the leopard graphics update, so I have to watch it in xp. I guess cute commercials are more important than 4,1 macbook pro users.

Who knew John Hodgman could sing.
Writer-actor-singer. He's a triple threat now.

I found it hilarious.
And to the closet Windows sympathizers, nothing, bar nothing, could be more painful than the Bruce Springsteen "internal spoof" video Microsoft made for Vista.

I still think they should have had Mac add something at the end about recording the song with Garage Band.

PCs are known for their non-standard hardware, after all. Also their annoying, unhelpful puppy-dog companion features.

It just shows how ahead of his time John Swerdan was to record an entire album dedicated to songs about the Mac and computers in general. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=199759347&s=143441

It's pretty funny (I like PC, he's cool and he's a mac user irl), but please Apple – make some ads that NOT point out how much Vista sucks (everyone knows that already), but how good OS X is instead, these commercials make mac users seem elitist (which we aren't)

Now this is just sad.... Apple went too far with this. Even with the short sad song.

Well, I thought it was clever. Overkill? This isn't showing on TV -- it's for Mac fans who get a kick out of watching John Hodgman sing... and I'm one of 'em.

I switched to Mac not too long ago. As much as I don't like Vista, the truth is that I've never done Ctrl+Alt+Del.. ever. While I did a couple of times with Leopard.
Also the upgrade on PC isn't as expensive as Mac in my opinion (especially on laptops).
But again, I don't see myself running PC again however. As I'm waiting for my new iMac to come in days time
