As a user of Blogo, I'm very happy to see this release.
The honest fact is that as it has been up until this point, Blogo simply doesn't work. It is buggier then hell, with less features, and spotty uploading compared to the native Wordpress setup. I quickly learned it was much worse to use Blogo then a simple web browser.
Here is hoping this makes me not regret my purchase. It is a beautiful piece of software visually, now I hope to see it act that way...

Steven, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you haven't tried using the software before recommending it to us. As the previous comment suggested, this software is very buggy. It's crashed three times within 2 minutes trying to do simple tasks like adding an account and deleting an account. I didn't get anywhere near using it to do the job it was made to do before getting frustrated and zapping it.
The interface does look lovely, and I'm sure once the bugs are ironed out, it'll be a great programme, but the bugs I encountered are so basic, I'm surprised this software is on general release. I'm even more surprised TUAW are recommending it.

Is the icon an homage to Matt Groening's "Life In Hell" comic strip?

It looks nice, but it's hard to buy blogging software from a company that doesn't have a blog...

MattFM and BabyGotMac: We had a bad build go out today which has been fixed and can be downloaded or updated via "File > Check for updates..."
The issues you both describe have been fixed. Our apologies for the crashes.
Thanks Steven for the review, and we hope you enjoy Blogo as we continue to improve it.

I just downloaded it and it still won't get past the "enter your blog's url" page.

Has anyone used both this and the current leader, MarsEdit? I'd be interested to hear what advantages Bloggo might have, other than a better name.

I can't get past the 'log into my blog' part. Keep getting a 'Error 500' message.

I've been using Blogo for quite a while now, since version 1.0 came out, and this new version is working perfectly for me.
I specially love the microblogging (twitter) integration.
