RapidWeaver 4 ships
In addition to an overhauled interface the release incorporates Leopard-only features like Core Animation and Quick Look for its new XML file format. There are also iPhone specific features like the creation of the WebClip icons for the iPhone's home screen.
RapidWeaver 4 is regularly $79, but is available for a limited time at $59. For registered users of version 3.6 the upgrade is free; it is $30 to upgrade from 3.5 and earlier.

The company's website is slow, and filled with errors. Any conclusions to be drawn from that?

Well obviously RealMac's site is getting hammered with the new release.

RW 4 is a very nice upgrade for Rapidweaver users. It has gone through beta testing and RealMac has caught most of the bugs before the general release. Just my 2 cents worth...

darn, really? new themes would be my main reason for upgrading. i know there are plenty of 3rd-party themes out there, but after shelling out for the app itself i'd prefer to have everything there. and some of those built-in themes were looking a bit 1998.

I understand your comment, but as a RapidWeaver user (and I was a beta tester, but didn't report anything) I found that using YourHead and LogHound (two off the top of my head) I get every thing I could imagine.
Anything more, I'd guess that you're on the "professional" level and would use DreamWeaver or "hand-code". Try it out, it's easy and the versatility with using plugins you have "professional" power.

Actually it comes with 3+ new themes. Three new, very usable general purpose themes. Plus, and it's kind of a tradition now, they always include the theme they used on their own site last year.

There are four new themes. And it's a free upgrade anyway, so I must be missing your point... Themes are cheap to buy anyway.

Like with 3.6, I again decided to stay with RapidWeaver 3.5.1. Besides a few optical interface improvements I do not see much of a substantial change. And honestly I do not like the new toolbar. I prefer the old iTunes look. Calling it 4.0 made me expect some really new ideas and got me disappointed.
