Apple Stores across the world down
It started with the Australian store, but now it looks like the rest of Apple's online stores are down. What will greet us when they come back up? A 3G iPhone? New MacBook Pros? The Mac Fusion? A free pony with every purchase? Only Steve knows for sure.

I truly am hoping that there is NO new iPhone but of course the anticipated app store for the iPhone. The big surprise would be a new pod or gaming platform. The tablet rumor is just a bit too old and I cannot imagine an upgrade to MacBook's other software. Perhaps it's time for another small gem, ala the 2nd Gen shuffle, something from Apple we ALL can afford and enjoy.

I'm embarrassing myself here. It's 11pm where I am. Yes, the Apple Store is down. Not the ITMS. Wonder why I got them mixed up.

A free Pony with every purchase. I would prefer a Clydesdale for a purchase of a Mac Pro. More bang for your buck.

New MacBook Pros? They just upgraded them in February.
I really hope my new MBP is already yesterday's news...

I'm hesitant to make a commitment today or tomorrow. What if, 4 months from now, they offer a better pony or, worse yet, 2 ponies?

After wishing a 'Vista' friend of mine HAPPY APPLE DAY this is what he came up with in return. I thought it was amusing:-)
--------
And in further news in the Technology sector...
Apple Inc. was today sold by founder Steve Jobs to Microsoft. All Apple systems were taken offline until further notice as compliance to Windows being facilitated. A representative from Microsoft who did not want to be named said they were waiting for a service pack to be installed and this would probably be ready by November.
Apple users are advised to take their Apple equipment to their local Biffa recycling depot and use the change returned as a deposit towards an entry level device operating Vista.
Windows Narrator will now commence. It will now commence and never end.

i love the way the store goes down before an announcement. it's like the ominous power outage in some monster movie. The lights flicker then all goes down before the beast strikes.
i'm hoping for more mac love but like the ipod before it i see any further iphone development to be beneficial across the board. i wonder if they're be like an iphone emulator for the mactv to play iphone games. or some sort of interface to play the games on larger tvs...
