MobileMe requires OS X 10.5.4?

TUAW reader Lee Car noticed something odd whilst reading the Terms and Conditions of MobileMe (I'm impressed that anyone actually reads that stuff). The official System Requirements of MobileMe say that you need 'Mac OS X v10.4.11 or latest version of Mac OS X Leopard,' which isn't all that newsy worthy. However, as you can see above, the MobileMe Terms of Service lists Mac OS X v10.4.11, v10.5.4, or later. Very interesting, huh?
This leads me to believe that around the time MobileMe launches ( July 11) we'll see 10.5.4.
Update: Cory reminds me that one of our tipsters told us to expect OS X 10.5.4 during the second week of June. Looks pretty likely to me.

Actually, I assumed an OS update would have to come to prepare the iCal, Mail, Address Book, etc. for push capability. Also, all the references to .Mac in the OS (system preferences, etc.) will have to be updated to MobileMe as well.

actually we already expected itunes 7.7 to come out, as they said it would be released near the app store so it could support that.

By my calculations, this is the second week of June.

Your title nearly turned me into one of those disgruntled Mac fans. I'm glad I read deeper to realize that 10.4.11 is okay as well. As a long time dotMac user and a G4 800 powermac owner (ergo, not invited to the Leopard Club), I would have been ticked at being forced to buy new hardware.
Yeah, I plan to buy new hardware anyway, but I don't want to be forced!

How is this interesting? Updates come out. It's not like it's some amazing discovery that there will be more updates to Leopard.
