MacHeist bundle extended with VectorDesigner, more
In a co-promote with MacRumors Live's coverage of today's little event out San Francisco way, the MacHeist team has spiced up its 12-application retail bundle with a few new additions: VectorDesigner, SoundStudio (yet to be unlocked) and TextExpander. Add those to the original suite and you've still got a great deal at $49, especially for switchers or those new to the shareware universe. As always, a significant portion of your purchase price on the MacHeist bundle goes to support worthy charities (and another portion goes to support thirsty developers). As a side bonus for those who are ordering the bundle before 10 am Pacific time tomorrow (24 hours after the start of the keynote), there's a lucky 15th app: VoodooPad. If you're up for it, check out the bundle tomorrow morning and you might find something extra in your Mac stocking.

I've seen on macrumors about the VoodooPad bonus, and I've bought the MacHeist Bundle via the above mentioned ( mrl ) link.
VP was the first one that I've registered from the MH bundle, and its a really nice mac app, without any learning curve.
BTW, there were a bugged "MacHeist Buy" page, which has made things difficult while trying to select the 2 letters State code for foreign countries, but the paypal option has worked fine for me.
Only the SoundStudio license is still missing as it is locked.
Glad to know MH has delivered new licenses to Scott and Sam earlier buyers, as it is kind of the same MH II bundle that got 'sweetened'.
On the other side, VP was added as a special bonus to just macrumors ( via mrl - by 24 hours ) and daringfireball readers ( via df - by 48 hours ), or even might be on another mac news site on the next few days. Have a look if you can still get them, its a great deal anyway.
IMO VP even in demo mode is pretty useful, as just some 'extra' features will remain locked.
Lot of big titles in this one. Awesome.

So it looks like if you bought MacHeist II in the past, you will be getting VectorDesigner now.
June 10 2008 at 12:23 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI too bought the retail bundle through the website in April, and today received an unexpected licence for VectorDesigner.
Just a few minutes ago I also got an email with a serial for TextExpander. I'm not sure I'll ever use either of these apps, but nonetheless it's nice to get the licences for them.
Also, I just discovered today that if you have a forum account you can check out the My Loot section for a few more apps. I would imagine that you have to use the same email address for the forum that you used for buying the bundle.
I wonder if we'll get VoodooPad as well?
Sam
Actually, MH2 was back in January. The bundle in April was / is part of the MacHeist Retail bundle...the same one they just "spiced up" to drive sales. So it's still part of the same bundle you purchased. That's why you got the licenses for TextExpander and VectorDesigner. When Sound Studio is unlocked, you'll get that one, too. A little controversy over Voodoo Pad, but doesn't look like previous buyers will get that one.

June 10 2008 at 10:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFirst time I hear about this. Reading the comments, there seems to be a catch and of course, it seems to good to be true. Is it that the apps are crap? Is it that you pay for the bundle, but still have to buy each program you want to keep?
June 10 2008 at 9:29 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'd assumed this had died a death ages ago. They just don't give up do they?
June 10 2008 at 9:01 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell... TextExpander is brand new to bundles, and an awesome app, and SoundStudio is $79.99 alone. Always been eyeing that but now that it's cheap, it's a no brainer. Don't see what you guys are talking about....
