semi-related, how are parental controls enabled on time capsule? if it includes a full air port extreme, they should be there.

It has MAC-based timed access control on mine. Not sure there's anything more, or if that differs from AEBS. The more sophisticated parental controls are in system preferences I believe.

I'm hoping this fixes the terrible intermittent signal problems that I get about twice a day. It will blink on and off for about five minutes every three seconds.

Me too, but I think that's going to take a firmware update...

Does Time Machine still work on Airport after this?

I would think so, it's not a firmware update, just an Airport Utility & agent update

Isn't AirPort Base Station Update 2008-002 a firmware update?

That useless remote disk toolbar icon is gone now when connected to Airport Express (n).

I am running Tiger 10.4.11 and the old Airport Admin Utility.
I don't see the new Airport Utility in Software Updates.
Do you need to install something else first (like QT 7.5 which I have been putting off)?

It comes on the disk with AEBS and included with Leopard. You may have to download it from Apple on Tiger.

hey guys,
anyone have clear info on whether or not Time Machine will be able to recognize the connected hard drive to the Airport Extreme after this update?
Thanks
