MobileMe browser requirements page found
The page in question shows Safari as the top browser to use, followed by Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7. On last night's talkcast (MP3 Link) Michael Rose, Robert Palmer, and I talked about the possibility of Apple marketing the Safari browser for Windows users through the MobileMe service. It looks as if that guess is true.
Thanks, Chad!
Update: Apple has updated the page (see new screenshot after the break).

I've been getting this for about a week now, unfortunately it's not indicative of squat... yet.

The same thing happened to me yesterday (Sunday, 6/22). On iPhone, went to webmail.mac.com and a page displayed giving browser requirements. I thought that was very strange.

They market their browser as much as they market IE7 and firefox.

I find the difference in language between browser platforms to be a little strange. "Mac / PC," then "Windows only." It's a small slip, but one that just seems uncharacteristic.

Well, compared to spelling calender wrong, fairly insignificant. I'd guess it just indicates that nobody has put much work into this page or bothered checking it. As such, reading huge amounts about Apple strategy for worldwide browser dominance from this page may be ill-advised.

Not really, considering Macs can run Windows. So saying "PC" instead of "Windows" wouldn't be correct. Mac and Windows are no longer mutually exclusive

It's back to the .Mac requirements...

Apple has made changes to the page to replace all of the MobileMe references with .Mac, and list separate browser requirements for Mac and Windows. There's also a link to give your current browser a shot at .mac, that currently doesn't work.

The copyright date appears to have reverted to 2007, also.

Again right now, when I go to http://webmail.mac.com on my iPhone, I get the Recommended Browsers page. I don't see any update as above screenshots indicate.

There was a talkcast last night? I tried dialing in several times and got nothing but silence.

Hi FRD -- yes, we tried to do a show last night, but Talkshoe had a 4-hour outage. :-(
We recorded a bloggers-only call and it's posted on Talkshoe now.

Anyone else have a problem with the iDisk in FF 3? I click on it and it opens a new window that is just blank.

What about Opera? My guess is that the service will work perfectly fine in Opera 9.5. Only time will show.

I guess that you mean - spelled WRONGLY?
If you're going to criticize someone's spelling, at least do so with correct grammar.
