I'll take Freeverse games for $300, Alex
Those wacky and industrious people at Freeverse, developers of games and apps for Mac, PC, consoles, and iPhone, announced two new Mac games based on the classic TV game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Wheel of Fortune Deluxe features 2,000 puzzles created by the TV show writers, a very realistic game stage, and a road-trip mode where you play in venues across the USA. Vanna White is not included (probably due to her successful lawsuit against Samsung). You can win "valuable prizes" like trophies and virtual cash with which to amaze your virtual friends.
If you're a fan of more cerebral game shows, you'll love Jeopardy! Deluxe. The TV show writers came up with over 3,000 clues, and the game has very realistic play including Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy! questions. There's a multiplayer mode so you can play against up to three of your friends.
To try out these games on your Mac, you can download demos from the Freeverse website for free. The games are $19.95 each.

If anyone was wondering what the phrase is in that "Wheel Of Fortune" picture, I think it's "Superstar Saxophonist Kirk Whalum"

From the one game I played, there were 3 categories that were taken directly from *very* recent episodes that have aired, the clues were word for word what was just aired on television in the last week or two. Really disappointing.
Now the Wheel of Fortune isn't half bad, especially since it doesn't include the unneeded model and wing-nut host, just the core game, and its really fun.
These games fuck with my desktop icons. Me no likee.

This cracks me up. I've seen 3 or 4 similar references over the past couple weeks, using this same Jeopardy! contestant-requesting-a-question meme.
And the people doing the writing obviously don't pay much attention to the actual game show, because there haven't been any odd-hundred ($100, $300, $500, etc) questions on the Jeopardy! game board for a looooonnnng time. What, 10 years, at least?
200, 400, 600, 800, 1000......400, 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, yes.
And yes, being picky about gameshow trivia is a hobby of mine.

Heh...and apparently, Mr. Sande didn't get my dig at him the last time (on June 6), either.
See, my comment from then, here:
