- Smart Collections to automatically organize photos
Lightroom 2 requires OS X 10.4 or above, and a 1 GHz G4 processor or better.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my Lightroom 1 spans perfectly across multiple drives..

Just a quick note on the native 64 bit option. You actually have to enable this by navigating to the executable and bringing up the get info dialogue. From there you can uncheck the 'open in 32 bit' option. Otherwise it runs in 32 bit mode.

That's interesting. I wonder why 64-bit is not enabled by default?

Ooh, good call! Thanks for the info!
I guess they do 32-bit by default for anyone on a Core Duo (and not a C2D) or G4. Still, you'd think that they could write in a processor check to handle the defaults, though I guess some people might only want to run in 32-bit mode anyway.

Isn't this the whole point of FAT binaries...so users don't have to worry about the details? Weird.

I can't remember how Lightroom 1 installed, but Lightroom 2 is via .pkg.
If CS4 is also via .pkg/.mpkg, Adobe-using Mac users of the world WILL rejoice.
