Easy iWeb Publisher 3.0.3

Plyxim's Easy iWeb Publisher 3.0.3 fixes that problem. The shareware ($7 donation requested) application makes it simple to publish to any web host. It's an ftp client that takes the local folder you've published your iWeb site to, compares it to the folder on your web server, and then uploads just the files that have changed.
I've found that Easy iWeb Publisher works much faster than most dedicated ftp clients when syncing iWeb files that have been changed, added, or deleted. Until Apple fixes iWeb '08 to make publishing easier for people who don't use MobileMe, this is a great way to work with your own hosting.

"Until Apple fixes iWeb '08 to make publishing easier for people who don't use MobileMe, this is a great way to work with your own hosting."
don't you mean "since Apple refuses to make publishing easier for people who don't use MobileMe..."
your statement implies two things:
1) iWeb '08 is broken - this is not the case as all previous versions of iWeb operated the same way, and it's never been offered as a feature to be able to upload/sync to another host.
2) Apple has plans to "fix" iWeb - I am guessing they don't because it will not only encourage people to NOT use MobileMe, thereby removing a revenue source, it would also require time and energy, again costing the company money.
I'm not calling out you or Apple as being in the wrong here, just pointing out the fact that Apple hasn't done anything bad/wrong/illegal - but at the same time, users shouldn't be expecting something for nothing.

For $79, users should expect the ability to upload anywhere.

I'd like iWeb to have general upload as well. But it's not exactly $79. It's $79 for four apps, so maybe $19 for iWeb.
For me, it's still a fair value at $19.

Why not just use rsync to remote upload? It's built into OS X (read FREE) and works like a charm.

Another thing iWeb works out to $19 but you can't buy it solo so its really $79 and for that kind of $ you should be able to publish to any server you want not just to Mobile Me.
I like iWeb a lot its ease of use is unmatched IMHO for novices but publishing to other hosting services can be a royal pain so if this tool helps here! here!

Is there a free alternative?

See when you publish to a folder with iWeb doesn't it write out every file thus making the modification date always newer than the server for every file? This would mean it is impossible to upload only modified files.

Anyone have experience with this when using multiple iWeb sites on the same domain? I use iWebsites to split up four different family websites that all fall under subdomains on my main domain.

I use iWeb for three websites, two very small and published with .Mac (MobileMe) and one larger site hosted by 1&1. EasyiWebPublisher allows you to pick which iWeb 'site' you want to update at a time, or all of your sites. So long as you have the correct address for your folder it usually works fine. And it makes a decent job of realising which files are new and which are not. It isn't foolproof, but it does save me uploading an entire site most of the time.

I wrote a little Applescript Studio app for my fiancée to use to upload her iWeb site. It's free: http://linkdupont.com/software/upload/index.html

Anyone know if this will work with any other website creation software?
I currently use RapidWeaver, and the publish function has never really worked for me. Will this save me from having to re-upload my website or pick and choose folders every time I update? (total is around 3.3GB atm)
