Mac 101: Make your Stickies see-through
A while back we mentioned that by pressing Command + Option + F that you could make your Stickies float above all other windows. Well, it's time to take this a bit farther. By pressing Command + Option + T, you can also put your Stickies into transparent mode, so you can see any windows/information that is below the note.
Stickies can be useful for jotting down a quick note, making out a list, or any other daily task that you may find yourself doing -- like checking out TUAW for our great Mac 101 tips and tricks!

Another great stickies trick: In almost any app that supports the services menu when you select text and choose Cmd-Shift-Y the selected text will automatically be pasted to a new sticky. This works even if stickies is not running. It's especially handy when working in a web form (like web mail) and you're afraid of losing all your typed text.

Wizzao!!
Not really necessary to do it through the keyboard.
If you click on the Stickies app the option to do so is right there in the Window menu.
Just started using Stickies today and I personally think it's better then any other ToDo app, because it's right there in your face unlike Anxiety for example.
Thats it your getting removed from my RSS reader, pissing pay per post turd of a website.

Thanks for this. I didn't know you could do that with stickies. I don't use them too much (I use the dashboard sticky), but this might be useful in the future.
