September 9th Apple Event confirmed

We have reason to believe that Apple will only refresh the iPods, instead of introducing new models to the MacBook line -- this is consistent with the invite.
What do you think will be released at this event? Be sure to take part in our poll, and in the comments.
Thanks for the tip, Matt.

YES. I've been holding out buying one for that reason.

Totally! It would also be cool if they could combine it with a phone somehow.

What happened to the Push Notification service that's coming out this month? I'd assume that would be one of the big things apple would be talking about

Forget push service, just give me a firmware release that lets my phone run as well as it did with 1.1.4.

LOL
Seriously, Bohon would raise his perceived IQ by doing two VERY simple things:
1) spell check before posting
2) proof read before posting

I've been holding out on getting an iPod Touch since the rumor that they might be releasing a new one. I guess I know where that extra paycheck in October will be going to....

I highly doubt Apple will release an "unlimited" music service. Peopel have been demanding it for years and every time it's been mentioned by steve at one of these events, he says "We've considered a subscription service and found that people don't really want it." It's a blatant lie and has everything to do with money and nothing to do with that people want.
Even if they launch one, it'll price most people out of its market. Most unlimited services charge $10-$15/mo. I can't see apple settling for less than $25-$30, which adds up to more music than I buy in a month.

If people wanted a subscription service, then they wouldn't all be going under. I think there are people that want a subscription service, but they're not enough to keep a subscription service alive...
