iPod touch 2.1 firmware available now

The update is free to all current iPod touch owners who have already purchased the 2.0 update. If you haven't purchased the 2.0 update, you will have to pay $9.95US for the 2.1 update. You can download it now via iTunes (note that you need either version 7.7.1 or v8 to install the new firmware).
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Yeah, you can't actually update anything yet because of source not found.

me to! :(
I even bought it thinking that maybe uncle Steve find out that I didn't payd the 2.0... after the buy button and accepting the license, nothing happen!
Now I even don't know if they'll get my mony.
The weirdest thing is that I just succesfully download the update (using the option "download and install") but after iPod restart no new firmware...
Someone know where else than (Library>iTunes>iPodUpdates) I could find the downlaoaded firmware?
Such a pain!!!!

I had the same "source not found" error then I clicked on update and it started to download.
I have the update right now, but I will wait until WinPwn or something similar jailbreaks this new version before installing.

How do find that link? I've always wondered how people can get the link manually, since it's normally downloaded in iTunes behind the scenes, so to speak.

That looks like a RESTORE link. Not an UPDATE link.
We can already restore from within iTunes

Love you man!

Yeap, It's 2.1. But it's not an update link. It's a restore link.
Good enough, better than nothing.
