Has anyone noticed that these aren't HD. They are Extended Definition, not High Definition. They are 853x480. HD has to be 1280x720 Minimum. What's going on? And has anyone found one with Dolby Digital? None of the ones I downloaded seem to have it.

The SD ones are 853x480, but the HD ones are 720p HD (1280x720). The info on a HD download in iTunes says so.
Recheck your HD downloads again.

Better than awesome. I downloaded all of them save for Lipstick Jungle (eww), In Plain Sight (yawn) and Life (snicker). Dammit, now I gotta make room on my iPhone!

Why are they grayed out and "unavailable" to me?
Latest everything? Check.

That's happening to me, too. I also tried clicking on the "Buy Now" button in the lower-right corner of the shopping cart. That started downloading the episodes in the shopping cart, but judging from the file sizes, it's downloading SD copies (~500MB for a ~45 minute episode). How'd you lucky people get this working?
Levi Figueira said 1:50AM on 9-10-2008
Same here! All grayed out on my cart! :( And my account is US, so I don't know what's wrong!
Also, I can't update my iPhone apps... It detects new updates (and has gone from 3 to 4 updates after the error started) but doesn't let me update saying "unknown error 5002"...
GAH
iErik said 1:54AM on 9-10-2008
make sure you all updated to iTunes 8.0?
Mike Piontek said 2:49AM on 9-10-2008
Same problem here. And yes, I have iTunes 8 and QuickTime 7.5.5. Maybe this is only a problem if you're using the shopping cart...?
Peter said 12:55PM on 9-10-2008
I also use a shopping cart and am having the same problem. :-/

thats why you sign up for a US account with a yahoo email. duh.

Easier said than done. Without a US credit card.
This is one of the reasons piracy is going on, I don't really care but would have liked to see these. Others may be tempted to torrent them. Yes I am sure somebody will say that it's the rights holders but that is perhaps the worst excuse ever. Why would a rights holder not want to sell worldwide.

Actually, 500 Mb should be about right for compressed HD... 720p torrents are normally around 350 Mb, or so I've heard... And the free movie was greyed out with the price listed as "unavailable", which was a little disconcerting. However, clicking the 'Buy Now' button started the download.

I have them downloading now, the SD versions are around 500 MB, but the HD are closer to 1.5 GB! I'm looking at almost 16 GB of new stuff!
