September 22 2008 at 12:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI just added SD episodes of 'Lost' into my cart and they're showing up as HD in my cart and "unavailable." I have iTunes 8 and QT 7.5.5. Anyone else having this problem?

September 11 2008 at 1:36 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHas anyone noticed that these aren't HD. They are Extended Definition. HD has to be 1280x720 minimum. What's going on? And has anyone found one with Dolby Digital? None of the ones I downloaded seem to have it.
September 10 2008 at 3:29 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe networks should be putting all their pilot shows online for free-seems like a no-brainer to generate interest in them...oh yeah, it IS the networks :p
September 10 2008 at 11:32 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThere are also other ones available for download like a free episode of the Office, they just aren't posted on that main page of free downloads.
September 10 2008 at 10:54 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIs anyone else having problems with stuttering on vista with even the SD versions? I've always had this problem with video in Itunes and Quicktime (except trailers, those play fine).
I know its not a processor/ram/video card thing, since I can play all other h.264 fine outside of the apple sphere, but its just the copy protected stuff that its completely unwatchable. Even HD in media center works perfectly.
I've gone through apples support papers, and the ones that reported "solutions" told me to disable directx in quicktime, which also did nothing to help.
Anyone got any solutions?
Chris,
I'm getting this problem in XP. I've always noticed a little bit with iTunes DRM'd content only, but it is way worse for their hd offerings. Just like you its really the only thing I have a problem with, I can play all kinds of high def content no problem. I think I'm giving up on itunes on Windows and sticking with Amazon unbox.
Regarding the poster that said his AppleTV did not see the HD download... My AppleTV also only reported one version of a show, but when I played it, it played the HD version, not the SD. It would appear if the HD version is available, that's the version the AppleTV plays.
