Freeverse has a 30% off sale, cuts prices of iPhone apps
Our good friends at Freeverse are having a 30% off sale, one of their biggest lately, this week on almost everything in their catalog, from the tower defense game Horde of Orcs to the award-winning Lineform. The sale lasts through October 7th, and to get the discount, just put "MONTYMAIL" in as a coupon code during checkout. If you've been thinking about picking up one of their apps or games, now's the time.
Unfortunately, none of the discounts work for any of their iPhone apps, but they did just drop the price on MotoChaser, one of the best accelerometer racing games available (and featured in the commercial above, on the "funnest" iPod ever), down to $4.99. It's too bad that there's no demo available, but I can tell you that as these accelerometer racers go, it's a good time.

Yes, I'm downloading their demos now. Lineform looks very cool. You HAVE to checkout their videos! So very ultra cheesey!! (or purpose) I'm cracking up here! :) http://freeverse.com/apps/app/?id=6020&view=videos

Not the first iphone dev to offer reduced prices and promotions. Seems like they aren't selling so well these days now that getting all apps for free is so simple. I suppose 10 million apps downloaded were the 100 different free sudoko and converter apps..

Umm, they're discounting all their apps, I've just bought Horde of Orcs and LineForm.
These are desktop OS X apps.
Not too concerned with their iPhone offerings yet, nothings really jumping out at me.

Wicked. Just got Lineform, pretty nice app for the *discounted* price.
Had been using Inkscape, but it's just too unreliable for now. Keep the deals coming!

Just wanted to add that you can use this coupon on any of Freeverses 30+ games, and also the Freeverse apps like Sound Studio and Periscope.

Better don't buy. I am a Lineform customer. They haven't updated this app in ages. While it's a great little app it has several very annoying bugs. I guess they just gave up on it and are now trying sell what they have "on sale".

Torsten, don't give up on us yet! :-)
We definitely are still supporting and updating Lineform. There was a major update of Lineform early in the year that added a bunch of new features to the vector illustration program. It has been a few months since, but we of course know the importance of improving our software. The next update is actively being worked on, and should be out soon.

I don't quite understand the love fest for Freeverse on this site. I've tried the software and games they offer, but it's bloated and slow for the most part on my 2nd gen Intel MBP. Big Bang Board Games, Tiki Golf, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy are some of the worst offenders. Constant slow downs and ridiculous amounts of bugs. It's almost worse than playing games ported with Cider.
