GTS World Racing on sale

One of my favorite racing games for iPhone / iPod touch is GTS World Racing from Handmark and Astraware. If you haven't loaded this fun app on your pocket pal, you might want to race over to the App Store before October 19th since GTS World Racing is on sale (click opens iTunes) for $2.99.
This action-filled race game features a number of different cars, countries, and tracks, and uses the accelerometer to control the speed and direction of the car. It's a much more realistic racing game than Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D or Cro-Mag Rally
For more info about the app, including a movie showing the game in action, check out our August preview of GTS World Racing.

same thing with mario kart on the wii

It's nice to see lots of these game bring their price down. Makes me more inclined to try them out. As usual TUAW thanks for the heads up with the price drop.

To each their own. I have a blast playing almost any racing game, Mario Kart Wii no exception. Judging by the number of others that are playing such games online, I suspect there are more in the other direction who find "race to the finish" games quite exhilarating and fun.
I bought the Cro-Mag Rally game on sale; it's no barn-burner, but it sure is nice to have while passing time waiting in line. This game here looks like a good deal of fun; though I wish the Crash Bandicoot game would go on sale. $10 bucks for a racer seems a little steep to me for an iPhone game.

@MfS: Crash Bandicoot is currently on sale for $5.99. However, I've not been too pleased with the controls the two or three times I tried it. Still, it has good reviews.

The way prices are dropping, it could get a little less profitable for larger companies to bring big applications to the iPhone. I suppose you can say that they might be able to make it up in the volume of iPhones, but that's a tough sell.
We've been tracking price drops at http://148apps.com/price-drops and will be releasing some statistics soon. Also just unleashed a Twitter bot for notifications of new price drops as soon as they are found at http://twitter.com/148apps_pdrops
Cheers,

How does this compare to Asphalt4? That was worth my $10... so I figure for $3, this can't be too bad, right?
