Super, I just did the update and now my iPhone won't sync. Keeps giving me "An unknown error occurred (13014)."
Anyone else getting this? I'm on 10.5.5.

Never-mind, rebooted the iPhone and it's happily syncing now.

I used to keep getting errors in iTunes after updating. It would finish syncing my info, etc, then halfway through syncing the photos, it would lag for a second, then finish. It would then say Syning iPhone or whatever, and then suddenly an error message would pop up saying error, cannot sync iPhone. The only way to cure this for me was a complete restart of my Mac. 10.5.5, iTunes 8.0.1, iPhone 3G White 2.1.

I spoke too soon. I just experienced what you mentioned. Sync most of the way then the same error.
Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try that now.

The size is due to it being a universal binary. There is the Intel and PPC code inside the one package.

Looks like the iPhone sync page (where all the tabs are at the top of the page to choose which music, pictures, etc) now displays the iPhone's phone number. I'm not sure if I particularly like this or not.

It always has.

It's always had the phone number, as far as I remember. Maybe it wasn't on iTunes 7.

The ability to see your phone number has been present in iTunes since June 29, 2007.

Woo hoo! I can finally delete those HD TV shows I downloaded when they were free. I really only needed the standard definition versions to view on my phone.

This update works great to me! I had 3 major bugs using the previous version and now they're finally fixed! I had problems with playlist windows, iPod nano 4th gen. and equalizers.

Anybody having problems with their app dock? After installing the update mine stays hidden and no longer magnifies? I have to unhide it to use it. Also after plugging in my ipod doesn't open itunes and the do not disconnect warning stays on until i reboot the ipod. real quirky, if you ask me.

Anyone else notice that where previously if you had both the HD & the SD versions of the same TV Episode and they both both be separate entries, now with the update they appear as just one entry with the tag (HD-SD) on it?
What if you want to delete just one or whatever with just one version? Anyway to put back to the old way?

Rebooted. Dock works again, if I don't launch itunes. If I launch itunes it locks up the dock again and have to reboot again. Definitely a bug with the update 8.0.1. At least I didn't update my other 2 macs, whew.

Sorry Victor, no dock issues here.
I love the new way of combining the HD and SD versions together, with 8.0 I was having issues where iTunes didn't think the HD and SD versions were in fact versions of the same episode. That seems to be nicely fixed now.
