Hi - I noticed that the Macbook and MacBook Pro offer the 128 GB Solid State drive as an option.... didn't think that was there before/only for MacBook Air in the past.

anyone figure out how to get a mini-DP to DP adapter? Also, how can I hook up one of these to a TV that has HDMI, RGB, or S-video?

A question - the Apple Store description of the mini DisplayPort adapters says that they are to connect your new MacBook to an older cinema display, but will they work the other way as well, if I want to get the new display and connect my old MacBook or Mini? I can uinderstand Apple not wanting to advertise it that way - they want to sell new laptops, but would it work anyway?

Big update: Apple ram is now cheaper. It is still way over priced, but 2 gigs is now just 150 bucks compared to last weeks 200 bucks. Thanks Apple (I guess)

WHAT THE HELL?
THE OLD MACBOOK (PLASTIC WHITE) HAS INCREASED IN PRICE!
ITS NOW LISTED AT £719
WHEN IT USED TO BE £699

WHAT THE HELL APPLE?
YOU CHARGE ($999) £573 in the USA?
BUT INCREASE THE PRICE IN THE UK?

IS ANYONE ELSE FURIOUS?

Same thing happened with the iPods - the exchage rate at the moment is horrific - whereas it used to be nearly £1=$2, with global markets dying by the day it's now £1=$1.73!
So yes, we are ebing ripped off, but it's not totally Apple's fault

$29 bucks for an adapter? That's ridiculous! I thought $19 was high for the old ones. All that little crap adds up!

An adapter should cost $5!!! It's only small amount of wire! At least Apple does seem to use quality wire for their machines though - which I know is pretty pricey. I guess it's not as bad as Monster Cable which I have never purchased and refuse to do so because they make the rubber thicker and still use cheap wire on the inside - and people still buy it cause they think thicker is better! (no jokes, please)

Even with this new connection, I bet they pay around $2 wholesale cost!

Well, the 17-inch has received a couple of minor refreshes.

First off, the standard resolution for the 17-inch MBP is now 1920 x 1200.

Secondly, the RAM for the 17-inch MBP is now fixed at 4GB, much like the new 15-inch MBP is.
