Be afraid, be very afraid. Macintosh virus caught on film (happy Halloween)
The guys at Apple retailer and repair shop BeamEcho in Toronto, Ontario, Canada decided to make a horror epic for the ages and came up with the ultimate nightmare: a Mac virus. Just in time for Halloween, TUAW presents their very scary film. The production values are just what you'd expect for a shooting budget of $6. Watch this one with lights on, kids...

The music from Suspiria is a nice touch.

And the "I live ... again" quote from Evil Dead: Army of Darkness, with the Necronomicon eyes in the (Necro)Macbook. Great stuff.

For a low budget short like that, i thought that was pretty creative.

This makes me think we totally need to see like, a UFC fight between the plastic MacBook and the new MacBrick.

Couldn't they have just installed Adobe CS3 on it? That seems to kill my MacBook every now and again.

The locals do *not* like BeamEcho (formerly CPUsed).
At all.
Here is where a BeamEcho employee mistakenly posted the video/hoax/trick/lame attempt at free advertising locally:

Avoid this place like the plague--except the plague gets better press.

no. cpused is unliked by carbon computing fanboys and ehmac forum members. they are well liked by the community but ehmac is an (pardon the pun) echo chamber for entitled and bitchy canadian mac users. all the resellers have their strong points but some people love to complain.

Funny video from the worst mac retailer in Toronto. Now put this kind of passion into your service and store.

Really? Our customers seem to believe the opposite, as do peoples choice awards from Eye and Now Magazines.

Being killed by a Mac Pro is a pretty legit way to die. Hell, that's how I want to die.

Not bad, creepy in fact. Love the Goblins/Suspiria soundtrack. Better watch out for those copyright lawyers though.
