Love that yellow sticky note...

...for the downtime in the store means that the Black Friday discounts will soon be up in the US. We already know the rough scale of the savings -- modest, not dramatic -- so don't get too excited!

Thanks to everyone who sent this in. Now, go to bed and sleep off that load of turkey.

"We already know the rough scale of the savings -- modest, not dramatic -- so don't get too excited!"

What a strange sentence to end with an exclamation mark.

Not especially -- it was an admonition. "Don't get too excited! Remember what happened the last time, when we had to go to the emergency room."

It's funny, I bought a brand new iPod Touch 1G for less on Amazon than a refurbished one in the Apple store. Kinda.. sad.

Not so much weak but down right insulting!

I wasn't expecting huge discounts on everything but I'm rather shocked that they have tried to clear out things like Mini with much deeper discounts. The modest discounting of the iPods also makes me wonde, even given that they are realatively new hardware may impact pricing in Apples mind but it does look like they are trying to exploit demand for iPods here.

Part of the issue may be to allow for larger discounts from it sales partners. This would not be uncommon. Either way you slice it it is insulting to Apples customers. Let face it some of these discounts are barely 3%, it is like Apple saying they barely feel obligated to discount for you on the biggest sales day of the year.

They're listing the 8GB iPod Touch at the 32GB price.

Fail.

Pointless sale IMO - well in the UK at least. The prices are so minimlally discounted that you can get the same prices from other discounted retailers like Amazon, Ebuyer etc.

Nothing there to say "Oh we must get one now" If they knocked £100+ off a Macbook etc I am sure they would sell a might higher % which at the end of the day = more profit & more parket share

wow, the European stores were down last night, and this morning we wake up to Black Friday here in Switzerland, too! The iMac is discounted a whole 61 francs! Oh my, thanks Apple for being so generous! That's like, $48! I'm rushing out to buy ten of them right now, before I even finish this sente
