Win a LaCie Rugged and iPod nano from PowerMax
Our friends at PowerMax, who are offering free shipping for orders over $50 (some restrictions apply), are offering a LaCie Rugged and an 8GB 4th-generation iPod nano to our loyal TUAW readers. Well, our not-so-loyal readers are welcome to enter too, I guess. The LaCie Rugged is a 320GB drive (7200 RPM) sporting FireWire 800 and 400, plus USB 2.0 and a rubber bumper for the klutzes in your life. Compatible with Time Machine, these make a great addition to notebooks or anyone with limited space or a shaky desk. I'm guessing you've already heard of the nano by now, what with its newfangled accelermeter and audio-in capabilities.
I bought a used Macintosh 8500 from PowerMax over a decade ago, and the thing came with full versions of After Effects (version 3.0) and Premiere 4, making the entire bundle worth more than what I would have paid separately. To this day PowerMax carries a wide variety of used Macs, complete with 90-day warranties.
To enter, just leave us a comment saying what you'd do with an extra 320GB of rugged storage in your kit! See the rules below:
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 and older.
- To enter leave a comment telling us what was the last disc you burned.
- The comment must be left before December 15, 11:59PM Eastern Time.
- You may enter only once.
- One winner will be selected in a random drawing.
- Prize: LaCie Rugged ($209.50), 8GB 4th-gen iPod nano ($144.88)
- Click Here for complete Official Rules.

The last disc I burned was yesterday: a copy of The Santa Claus for a family friend from personal library.
But space is running out as I back up my movies >

The last disc I burned was a compilation for my sweety- songs we've listened to over the years. If I had more storage I would use time machine like it was going out of style!

I would use it to store my musics, my movies and my pictures.
And with the rugged protection, I'll be able to carry it anywhere

last burn? Xmas mix for the car cd player.
I'd fill the drive with all Monty Python stuff!

Last week, I burned a CD for my sister of music from the wonderful Portland duo called Blind Pilot.

I'd use the hard drive as a diagnostic & storage tool. The drive would replace two separate drives that I currently use for this task. I work in NY/NJ with a varied client base -- I do sliding scale/fixed fee for those that cannot afford a full rate.
Cheers, Dave
PS I try to send as much business to PowerMax that I can... Joe is awesome! (Disclaimer: he didn't pay me to say that.)

The last disc I burned was a compilation of favorites from the 70's and 80'S from old cassette tapes and records that have not moved to CD, yet.

The last disk I burned was a video for Elim's HOPE Packs program - in fact, that's pretty much on almost every disk I burn.

I would actually started using TimeMachine as my regular back-up drive does not have enough room after partitioning. With the amount of items I've lost forgetting to "save" and walking away for a bit, this would be amazing! Plus with my clumsiness, I'd be sure NOT to break it =)
