Switching to Mac or iPhone in your future? Enter to win two great learning tools
If you're new to the Mac or just bought an iPhone you could pore through the "Switch 101" series on Apple's site, you could browse our Mac 101 or iPhone 101 series, or you could spend a few bucks and get trained fast. We checked out "It's About Time" products at this year's Macworld (remember back in the beginning of 2008, where Steve Jobs made his final appearance?). As a former teacher and trainer, I think these are great for hitting the basics and in a short time you'll know what to do with your fancy new machine.
Seems like the perfect companion to a gift this year, doesn't it? To help you out we're giving away 10 licenses of "It's About Time to Learn the Switch to Mac" and 10 Licenses of "It's About Time to Learn iPhone" (that's 10 winners, everyone gets one of each program), courtesy of the folks at It's About Time products. Rules below, good luck!
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 and older.
- To enter leave a comment telling us if you are a "switcher" (moved from a PC as your primary machine to a Mac).
- The comment must be left before December 29, 11:59PM Eastern Time.
- You may enter only once.
- Ten winners will be selected in a random drawing.
- Prize: License of "It's About Time to Learn the Switch to Mac" ($29.95) and "It's About Time to Learn iPhone" ($29.95) for each winner.
- Click Here for complete Official Rules.

I switched from PC to Mac back in 2006. I love everything Apple, and almost own everything they make. Today I am constantly converting long-time PC users to the Mac and of course, the iPhone!

I was a happy PC person, with many Microsoft certifications and even a fairly decent job working in IT (on PCs).
It started with an older MACBOOK Pro, just so that I could "take a look" at the other side.
Then it was an iPhone (because my old Windows Mobile machine was possessed by the devil). The phone works so well, that I turned back to the ol' macbook pro, and decided it was time to delve more into the OS X world.
Out comes the fancy new Macbook Pro 17"... and since it had the Intel processor, I was able to use have both a PC and a MAC in one machine. Brilliant. I never really timed it, but I'm sure that the laptop runs Windows faster than my "fancy top-of-the-line" desktop (even though they were similarly spec'd).
Funny. When my mother called to ask me about getting a computer to work with her photos... the first word out of my mouth was "iMAC". So, not only am I switching, but so is my mother.
I still have to work on some things in "PC" mode, but I'm going through the transition now. Once my newly purchased home-based desktop ages a little more, it will be replaced too; just like the dell laptop that is now used to prop open my computer room door. (finally, something that stupid laptop is good for; makes a great conversational piece too).
Regards everyone!

I'm entering on behalf of my sister-in-law, a professional copy writer and editor, who has just switched from Windows XP to a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. And she may be getting an iPod Touch soon as well. I'm her source for tech support and I would also like to see and evaluate these training materials, so please contact me and tell me that she has won a copy.

I'm a switcher. Having bought an iPhone for me and my wife a year ago it took me nearly all that time to get her to adjust. Now just a week ago I bought a new iMac and I love it, but my wife doesn't adjust so easy. This would be most excellent!
Please TUAW!! Save me a year of teaching and hook us up with some It's About Time! Because it's about time I got my life back!

Switched (back) to a Mac after over 5 years trapped in PC-dom. Finally got my iPhone in July after they migrated north to Canada.
Loving both!
