Oh don't worry yourself there child, I'm running 09 as well on my other computer. Both have slow start up issues so its a moot point

Numbers link doesn't work.
Also, when I try to install, how come it says it can't find the apps?

Oh for an update that gives Numbers robust scripting, locked editable fields, and the like...
Instead I suspect we'll have to wait an other year and a half. I mean really - you're not going to convince me that autosave and locked cells are that difficult. The Applescript perhaps. But the rest?

I see no mention of this adding compatibility with iwork 09 documents, which is totally stupid. Epically, microsoftly stupid.

I'd like it if they fixed the annoying spell check bug in 08... or added auto save seriously, Word 95 had that..
Regardless, I've gone back to Office...maybe I'll try iWork again in a few versions...

I'm still using MS Office 2004. I still run PPC Macs and iWork just seems too slow. The templates are nice, but the only time I seem to open an iWork app is to make a quick and dirty base document using a template, save it as a Word format file, and then continue working on the file in MS Word.
All iWork '09 has brought to the table, for me, are the templates for award certificates.

Slow when starting? Has anyone tried using Office for Mac? Compared to that, iWork is lightning fast.

Agreed. iWork is at least twice as fast as Office for me.

Now that I pre-ordered iWorks '09, paid my money and had it delivered, Apple updates iW'08 for free.
