Toy Bot Diaries drops to 99 cents, is giving away $10,000
Toy Bot Diaries is a fun little series of platforming games with a physics twist -- you probably saw it on those early iPod touch gaming commercials. It features a little robot jumping around levels with a grappling hook and some magnetic boots. If you haven't picked it up yet, now's the time to do so. IUGO has lowered the price on the whole series, and you can get each of the three versions of the game for just 99 cents a piece. At $4, the game wasn't bad, but at just a buck, it's definitely worth picking up.And that's not all -- they're also giving away $10,000 (and a smattering of gift cards and game codes) for playing through the games. You need to pick up all three games, and then pick up 25 of the "datapad" collectibles from each game, for a total of 75, at which point you'll get a chance to enter your email address for submission into the contest. Getting the datapads isn't hard at all, we're told, and the game is a good time anyway.
The contest ends on Monday March 16th, and IUGO says they're not sure when the prices on the games will go back up, so now's probably the time to get with the playing. No better way to promote a game than make the price cheap and give away lots of money.

This game was $3.99 when I originally bought it, and it was worth it all the way. This is a steal. Buy it now.

Bought all three editions, within a week of release, for full price. I have 149 out of 150 datapads (grrr, spent hours looking for the last one, cannot seem to find it.)
I am annoyed that only US residents can enter the competition - myself and the other international purchasers were just as responsible for you being able to build up the $10,000 warchest, IUGO ! So it is a shame that we are not able to have a chance to win anything. It certainly makes one feel like a second-rate customer, and I will be thinking twice before buying any other IUGO app.
I am aware they have used the old excuse that legalities prevent them from having the competition open to other countries. This is simply not true. You just need a permit for each country. One for the US, one for the UK, one for Australia, and so on. So it is not law, but laziness, that is preventing us from being able to enter the competition (and same with Engadget's frequent giveaways, so another "yeah, thanks a lot" from that blog's international readers to them.)

I'm a bit surprised they are advertising the prize within iTunes. I had a few phone calls from Apple when I was advertising cash giveaways in BubblePRO. Now the cash promotion is only mentioned on http://www.orsome.co.nz
( Yes, this is a blatant attempt to get some publicity that there is another app regularly giving away money ;-)
