Someone please explain what's so great about boxee?
I tried it once about a month ago and wasn't overly impressed by it

And you're not even going to link to the app on the App Store? Wow. :\

Ok, so what differentiates this remote from the XBMC remote and what benefits does Boxee have from Plex? A little more info to make this juicier than a press release for the remote would be nice.

The comments thus far have been pretty nit-picky and demanding. Boxee is an excellent program if you've got a spare mac hooked up to an HDTV. It's got a larger following than Plex, and thus a few more plug-ins and community functions. This remote is FREE, and the gesture mode is almost too futuristic.

It seems like Rowmote. I think other apps are better, maybe "Do It!", is hard to find and its cost is 3,99 $ but it´s a great app and it include gestures too.

I like Boxee and Plex but my big issue with Boxee is that it doesn't index all of my music. (and it takes FOREVER with a large library 15k+).

Ok, sorry, disregard that.
My version is from Cydia

Tried Boxee and Plex. Definitely prefer Plex. Boxee needs a lot more refinement.

i love boxee so much and didn't want to jailbreak my phone just so I could run cydia
I'm glad it's finally out in the app store...the gesture controls are pretty impressive
