Get 50% off iPhone in Action until April 30

Some time ago I reviewed iPhone in Action from Manning. While there are other "starter" books out there, if you know how to code and you want to get up-to-speed on everything from web apps to the SDK, this book is a great primer. Of course, the pending 3.0 update to the iPhone's OS will add many new features, and the book's authors are hard at work with an update that I'm told will be available as a downloadable e-chapter. The authors will first serialize it on their blog, so you can keep up there as well.

I bit on this deal and was able to get away with $24 shipped for the book. I also already downloaded the PDF book and have already started working though it. Great deal can't wait to see the 3.0 SDK stuff too.

I would never have paid full price though - just too much.

Ok, not really that great of a deal. The only shipping option I have is $12. The list price at Amazon is a little higher but with shipping factored in the price is lower. I think I'll just wait and get the updated version when its released.

When you purchase the physical book you get a code that allows you get get the PDF version of the book for free.

We will be regularly adding material on 3.0 SDK in our blog over the next year, but they will not be in the form of actual new chapters for the book. When we feel like things have settled down enough we will then integrate what we've learned into a new edition of the book. Like last year, PDF previews will be available in advance of publication.
