First Look: Moments
Have you wanted to remember an event, or just remember a small bit of information for later? On the Mac there's a cool application called Stickies, but there really wasn't a great application for doing this same thing on the iPhone ... until now. [Where's the love for Evernote and the built-in Notes app, Cory? :-) -Ed.]Enter Moments [iTunes link]. This small application is your one stop for remembering small pieces of information or events.
Even though this application has a simple agenda and interface, it is executed beautifully. Moments has an interface composed of three gorgeous themes: corkboard, steel, and a fabric print. Sticky notes are aligned in a grid of 2 x 3 across the screen. You can reorder your stickies, and when you run out of room a new screen will be created that is similar to the layout of the iPhone home screen. When you create a new sticky, you are able to create just a note, or a "moment." A moment has a date associated with it, and can be something in the past or future. A note just has a larger text area that will let you add more information.
Overall, this application is really nice for remembering things, and looks just as good as built-in iPhone apps. However, there are three things that I would like to see: (1) User selected sticky note colors, (2) A place to add more details about a specific note or email the note, and (3) More themes to choose from. This application is really great the way it is, and is well worth $.99 US in the App Store. You can check Moments out on the App Store, or check out our gallery of pictures.

My iPhone comes preinstalled with 'Notes'. You should try it.

Notes can't count the days passed since the "moment".

Notes does count the days since the "moment," or at least since the last time you edited the note.
Notes is a little slow for me. I use the Quick Notes extension of SBSettings (for all the other jailbreakers out there).

Yep, I really don't see any advantages over the preinstalled Notes.

If you're determined to skip Notes, there's also Evernote.

Evernote's almost useless for note-taking on the ipod touch. You can't edit a note you've created until it's synced and downloaded again. You can't even see your notes unless you've favourited them or have an internet connection. I use evernote heavily, but the ipod app is a waste of time - I use notes and then email to my evernote account.

Pretty cool app. It is in no way competing with Notes. Not sure why all the other posts against it. I liked it and I liked the concept behind. Looks wise it's pretty cool as well. Well done to the developers!!!!!!!
Cheers.

Looks interesting, but I would like the option to count down to an event, not just from an event. Also, as above I would like to edit the note colour
Would love to give it a play though, sO I would also say:
I want promo code
Thanks

You can put future dates on Moments and it will count down to them. "XX days remaining"

The app does what it promisses, for me the emphasis is on the moments feature (days gone or days ahead). The notes are easily and quickly available, without the rather complex menu structure of some other known note apps.
The app really looks nice and with some additional backgrounds and free time interval setting (begin and end) it will be a stayer on my springboard.
