Sketch an iPhone app UI with a special stencil
This is really neat. The folks at Design Commission have produced a stencil to assist with the iPhone/iPod touch UI prototyping, brainstorming sessions, flows, interaction techniques, etc. that you'll do before you begin coding.Of course, it includes all the standard iconography and buttons. Doesn't it make you want to just break out a fresh sheet of paper and set to work? If you want one, act fast, as they've only produced 100. Each kit ($16.95US) comes with the stencil and a Zebra mechanical pencil. A matching letter-sized template can be downloaded from the website as a PDF.
Now go and make the next killer app!

Actually, I was able to purchase it just now when I tried again. Hope that's for real.

I was still able to buy one, so unless they just haven't updated the page to not allow purchases and have oversold their stock, you can still get them...

I was able to get one (two actually), it was showing as sold out before. Hmm. Oh well, order placed!

I had the same idea when i was in the design process for my company's app... since there appears to be more demand, I may still go forward with it...
This one doesn't seem to have markers for the tab bar and nav bar at the correct ratio (unless i'm missing them), which is necessary i think... all those icons can be approximated easily, whereas getting the sizes of the major UI elements is really critical to have a mockup that makes sense.
/me goes back to the sketchbook.

Very cool, but I'm nearly 100% paperless, and I'd rather stay that way. It'd be cooler to just build a Photoshop or Fireworks file with all the basic widgets, and build mockups with that.

Technology! It does wonders. Yesterday, I visited this site - http://objectdevcorp.com/IPhoneAppDevelopment.aspx and got few wonderful apps for my iphone. One of them include this kind of apps also. Seems iPhone apps are very easy to make.
