I recently feel victim to Snow Leopard upgrade, the app. cost me $27.99 delivered. As a totally dedicated Macaholic, I fell for the Snow Job upgrade.
Adobe CS3, QuarkXpress 7. are not compatible with the operating system.
My hi-end HP Printers color and B/W drivers took many hours and about
6-Apple Care techs to get them to work. A young AC tech spent about 2-hours with me, he suggested we use the HP Printer IP numbers with the drivers loaded into Snow Leopard, that resulted in a FIX ... note Adobe CS3
InDesign, will not work until the upgrade is offered.
HP Customer service told me they had no plans to provide drivers for the older model printers, that would have cost me about $2,000 free shipped
plus tax to obtain the drivers that would work on Snow Leopard ... nice work Apple. I knew that going for the "early adopter" was a mistake, as I usually wait 6-8 months before upgrading as upgrades are field tested with
all these complaints driving the results ... A SNOW LEOPARD JOB
The install seemed perfect but I found GrowlMail incompatible. My DeliciousSafari will not open I have email the vender.
Sorry I missed the liveblog
I'm still working on my install... apparently Snow Leopard doesn't support Apple Partition Map, only GUID Partition Table.

I've tried to turn off my Mac Pro during installation - 3 times! It installed fine nonetheless. I didn't want to try that new feature, it's just that it rebooted, and the screen stayed white for like 10 minutes, so I turned the machine off. On second reboot, screen was still all white for more than 5 minutes, so I turned the machine off again. And one more time. Finally, I got worried, went out for a smoke and searched for my Leopard DVD. When I came back, Snow Leopard was up and running... I was pretty much amazed. I then read the release notes and found out about that new "feature" that installation can survive a power failure...
This happened a couple of weeks ago (I have an ADN subscription) and my Snow Leopard is working without any problems (it's running 24/7, no reboot for more than 7 days now)... I waited for the "golden master" to upgrade my main partition, before that I was just installing 10.6 on a secondary test partition
Bugger...missed the talkcast

But what's the deal? No Final Cut love here tonight?
What is the Optional Installs, I installed some of them under Applications it says upgrade when you select one of them, but after it completes it has a link to update the Combo pack for 10.5.8? Did I just downgrade these apps?
Do I have to sign up for Cover It Live to be able to contribute?
