TUAW and Scosche are giving away a tapSTICK for 3rd gen iPod shuffle
When you think about the 3rd generation iPod shuffle, you probably don't think about getting a case for it. After all, the little music box is less than 2 inches long, .7 inches wide, and .3 inches thick, and it comes with a clip. The designers at Scosche Industries realized that some shuffle owners might like a way of keeping their devices from getting scratched or wet, as well as having a way of using any earphones with the shuffle and still be able to control it.
The tapSTICK comes in white or black polycarbonate plastic, and slides over the outside of the shuffle. It has three buttons on it that allow you to control play, adjust volume, navigate playlists, and even activate the VoiceOver feature on your iPod shuffle. It also comes with a 3 foot audio cable that connects to most audio systems, including those in cars:

- Open to legal US residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 and older.
- To enter leave a comment telling us how many times you've misplaced your 3rd generation shuffle.
- The comment must be left before Friday, October 9, 2009, 11:59PM Eastern Daylight Time.
- You may enter only once.
- One winner will be selected in a random drawing.
- Prizes: One Schosche tapSTICK in black (Value: US$29.99)
- Click Here for complete Official Rules.

Just a few times... One time it went through the washer, and it lived!! (I was so relieved), and one time I left it in school. (it turned up the next day).
This thing looks awesome! I hope I win!

Oh jeez, like 7 times, it always ends up in my pocket, but the frantic searching for it is such a pain haha.

Pretty much every time I've left my house with it not duct-taped to the inside of my pocket.

I have misplaced my shuffle only a couple times, but this is mostly because it is kept in a drawer that is rarely opened.
This would definitely help the headphone sweat and usability issues that are my current reasons for the shuffle not being used.

I use it at the gym mostly, so it tends to end up in the laundry basket. Though, I haven't washed mine yet!

Once. It was in a dark corner and since we have 3 or 4 sets of earphones, we don't know which one has the shuffle attached.

I've only misplaced my shuffle once, and that was because I kept mistaking it for a piece of gum at the bottom of my book bag.

At least a dozen time with one problem loss. Lost for two weeks when it made its way beneath the laundry hamper somehow.

I left my 1st gen shuffle in my pocket once... and that caused it to go through the wash... and that's why it's broken. My 3rd gen shuffle has been pretty good, I've just loose it in my bag occasionally.

I misplace it often. But only because my bag has so many pockets and I always forget which one I put it in!!!

I've had to replace my shuffle twice. This is a great product and it even adds protection.

Once is all I needed. (I find that the iPhone is more difficult to misplace.)
