New Apple Switcher-Cam ad will take over online media

The newest Get A Mac, ad from Apple will take over the front page of a number of sites this month. Created by TBW\Media Arts Lab, the ad takes over the page as PC chases switchers through various switcher-cam displays.

Thanks to Ivan for sending it in, and Ads of the World for hosting it.

you're not the only one who thinks so, but he's just a kid looking for attention, so he comes here and trolls the crap out of us.

you people are happy with an ad that forces you to look at it?
I hate this new trend in ads. I use macs since long time
and usually avoid buying anything from full page ads. i don't like
full page ads. Why is anyone happy about this?

?? Down with full page take over advertisement. You people must be ad sales people. Otherwise your responses make no sense.

Now now, we must always leave a window open to dissenting opinions / ambiguous trollings.

"We all know that [customer service] drops to zero as soon as your market share increases"

Well, the iPod rebuttal pretty much knocks this fact down. I think it's a rather a weak argument to write off that condition as an exception due to the iPod being cheaper than a Mac. I mean, I haven't done the research, but I imagine that a product that comes at relatively low cost and high quantity would be at *more* risk for weakened customer service. No?

Also, for what it's worth, I probably would never buy a mini as a desktop machine, but I'd definitely consider it for a home server...and I would not shed a tear if the AppleTV were to fizzle away tomorrow.

These ads have gone from being mildly amusing to quite obnoxious, as the smugness is borderline unbearable. Please tell people why they should buy a Mac, not how bad PCs are! In the end customers decide with their pockets, and will usually go for cheaper option, unless you explain why paying more is worth it. A $1000 Macbook vs. ~$500 Dell laptop, from my experience the Dell machine wins every single time!

Jordan - A lame flamer that uses a typical strawman argument to prove all his 'points'. Dont know what a stawman argument is? Wiki it.

Stop being a lame. *points finger*

I think they could have gotten a few more extras instead of filming the same ten people from different angles. Look closely.
