Wireless Keyboard Update 2.0 now available
Earlier today, Apple released Wireless Keyboard Update 2.0, which adds support for some nice features like using the function keys for display brightness, Dashboard, Spaces, iTunes playback control and speaker volume. To install the update, first turn on and pair your keyboard and then run Software Update. It's just under 11MB.Note that Mac OS X 10.5.8 is required before installing this update; for Mac OS X 10.6 users, this support is included in the Mac OS X 10.6.2 update.
Let us know how the update goes for you!

I've been using wireless keyboards for over a year now and I love it. It's so convenient and much less wires, which looks great!

Oh yay.
This would be the fix for the hack demonstrated at Black Hat 2009 (I think)
Someone demonstrated a hack of being able to insert a key logger into a Apple USB Keyboard.
FFS let us know in your writeup that it's for new keyboards. I wasted a lot of time on this weinerschnitzelmitnoodles.

November 09 2009 at 10:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis update is for the new (2009) keyboards now shipping. You have always been able to do all the things mentioned in this post with the (older) existing wireless keyboards in current OS versions (as well as newish versions of Tiger).
