As much of a clunky gorilla that it is, I have to agree. The auto-loading IP filters and level of info detail/custom settings gives me a big ole nerd-on.

January 22 2010 at 12:57 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDanger danger...I've been a Transmission user for several years and test the beta builds as well. 1.80 has been a seriously buggy release for myself and a number of other users per the Transmission support forums. Going back to 1.76 is not an option as this will whack existing torrents.
I suggest reading the support forums before upgrading and deciding if the benefits outweigh the risks. You might want to wait for 1.81.
My issues: very slow to start up ( > 1 minute). Torrents stop and start, mostly stop. Torrent size gets whacked periodically and downloads start over.
I should also say, the 1.8x nightly builds have overcome the issues with 1.80. So if you really need 1.80 and don't mind running nightly builds, this is the way to go. Otherwise, wait for 1.81 to release.
January 22 2010 at 12:37 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAgreed. My torrents were listed as errors on 1.8. Do not update or if you did, go back to 1.76 as soon as you can.
