Frozen sausage as iPhone stylus

Using an iPhone in the cold presents a quandry. You don't want to freeze your fingers, but gloves make the touchscreen difficult to use. Unless you've got Dots Gloves.

Or sausages.

In South Korea, CJ Corporation noticed a sharp increase in sales of their frozen sausages. Not because they're especially tasty, because cold commuters have discovered that they make an effective iPod stylus. It seems that they're electrostatically compatible with the iPod's touch screen, and nearly as effective as using a human finger.

Here's a Google-translated story on the phenomenon from a Korean newspaper (the translation into English is quite poor, but you'll get the idea).

I don't know about you, but i'll be buying a box of Jimmy Deans this weekend.

1. People that waste their time commenting to tell us that they are wasting time reading articles that they have already read or hate are kinda absurd.

2. I can concur that those aren't frozen sausages. You usually get them in the convenience store as a snack. They are usually refrigerated though, but not always. They are also very unlike any sausages you would imagine in the west and mostly very gross. But kids seem to love 'em.

3. And who knows whether the story is real or not but it does say a 39 percent increase which is a sharp increase, I would say. But then again, it wouldn't be an article on Tuaw if Jordan wasn't arguing about some lame point.

Tuaw: Today something happened...
Jordan: More like YeAh RiGHt! U SUK!

I don't think these are frozen sausages, at least if they're like the fish sausage that they sell in Japan. And the word "frozen" doesn't appear anywhere in the article.

What happens if my iPhone is vegitarian? Also I guess it gives a whole new meaning to the term sausage fingers.

I never saw it, if you don't want to read it twice, don't click the link. Pretty simple.
