Aperture 3 already updated
I didn't even have dust on the box yet, but Aperture 3 has scored an update within a few days of its release. The update, according to Apple, "...addresses an issue affecting the playback of video clips used in Aperture 3 slideshows on Snow Leopard."The update is 65.2 megs to download. If it hasn't popped up for you yet, you can force it from the Apple Menu by selecting 'Software Update.'
I can't tell you it's a great fix because I haven't tried any video in my slideshows yet, but Apple suggests all users get the update.
I other words, be there, or be square.
[Thanks to Andrew for the tip]

Hey Guys! I found a cool website called http://HTcity.desimartini.com , it has a good collection of some amazing Page 3 party pics. Go and check it out...
WTF? This article makes me grumpy, lol. A3 is one of the most half-assed Apple sw releases I've ever owned - very broken - and it _needs_ an update.
And that's going back to my Quadra650 days in 1995 or so.
There is no Aperture 3 update. Good god.
Also, you need to get off my lawn, bro.
I agree. Downloaded the demo, but I will not be purchasing this software. The UI is clunky and the thing is buggy as hell.
And what's the deal with bringing toolbar buttons from iPhoto like Flickr and Facebook but not Set As Desktop?
I'll stick with iPhoto and Bridge.
This update is called the "Aperture SlideShow Support Update 1.0" that, as stated in the post "addresses an issue affecting the playback of video clips used in Aperture 3 slideshows on Snow Leopard." It's not a version update.
Here's a link to download the update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1000
Saw some reports of some Aperture 3 bug eating up hard drive space...? Perhaps this squashes that particular problem?

February 16 2010 at 1:25 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySame with me, Jax: I'm on 3.0 and haven't applied an update yet. Nothing in software update either.
February 15 2010 at 11:24 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThat is true. Came out the same day or the day after. I submitted the tip as soon as it showed up.
