Notepod+ helps you sketch your iPad ideas

From the makers of the Notepod comes the Notepod+, which does for the iPad what the original paper version of the iPhone accomplished. It allows you to sketch out any app ideas or UI insights you might happen to have laying around. One of the refrains we heard from at Macworld last week was that the iPad was a completely different animal -- apps on the new device won't (and shouldn't) be the same as apps already running on the iPhone (even though iPhone apps will work on both devices). So if you want an iPad-sized, erm, pad to draw your ideas on, Notepod+ is it.

And as you can see in the picture above, it doubles as a mousepad and/or a plain old pen-and-paper notetaker as well. The pad itself is US$19.95, and wireless filesharing comes free -- just rip the top page off and mail it out to anyone you want to share it with!

http://iphoneroot.com/full-size-paper-ipad/print/ is a nice sample especially the full-scale one it links to for an A3 printer.

Can they make the iPad replace my Wacom tablet? Pressure sensitive and communicate directly with my mac? Thats what I want. Seems like this is not far off.

Apple should re-invent Notepad app for iPad. At the very least it should let you draw on the page with your finger. If you have a stylus that works with the touch screen, then you could use that. It doesn't have to be fancy with colors, just be able to sketch and erase, like a pencil.

For me the killer app for the ipad would be a handwriting app. Something that could take handwritten notes and convert them to text. Since the ipad doesn't have a stylus I'm guessing Apple doesn't intend to do this themselves. Too bad so many tech designers are keyboard centric in their thinking because there are a lot of two fingered typists out here hoping for an app like that.

There is nothing from stopping a 3rd party developer from manufacturing a stylus that works with iPad/iPhone/iPod touch and developing and putting a handwriting recognition App on the App Store. Nothing.

Note:
You might want to also list dimensions in inches. Most of the world uses metric but not USA therefore I have no idea what the actual measurements are. I assume the larger pad is exact measurements of iPad. Ya, I know - I could convert with iPhone app but, ain't ya heard? We're lazy here in the states.
